DR STEVENS SETATI

After obtaining his MBChB at the University of Cape Town in 2002, Dr Setati worked as a General Practitioner with his private practice based in Shoshanguve and Burgersfort. He practised as a GP for 10 years prior to specialising further. He completed his fellowship in Neurosurgery in 2018 at the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa, which is attached to the Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital in Ga-Rankuwa, north of Pretoria. The hospital is affiliated with the Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU), where he completed his time as a registrar.

As a qualified neurosurgeon, Dr Stevens Setati is extremely passionate about his discipline, and while his private practice is based at Life Peglarae, Dr Setati will continue working in state at Steve Biko a few times a week to serve his community and stay abreast of new techniques & technologies in his field.

While he performs a range of surgeries and has a wide range of interests, Dr Setati has a particular interest in epilepsy, muscle and nerve disorders and focuses on intracranial surgery.

In his spare time, Dr Setati enjoys spending time with his family, keeping himself busy with hiking, swimming, and community chorus and church youth leader activities.
